GilmoreGroup is a multidisciplinary design and branding firm based in New York City and founded in 2003.
In the fall of 2008, the company gained recognition for designing the largest LED sign in Times Square for Walgreens.[by whom?]
The sign uses over 12 million LEDs and covers 17,000 square feet (1,600 m2), and the sign on the One Times Square building in NY is the largest LED sign in all of Times Square, surpassing the previous title holder (Nasdaq sign which comes in at 11,000 square feet). The sign consists of seventy-seven 5,000 pound cabinets and houses 16.6 miles (26.7 km) of data and power cables.[1][2][3]
