Girls for Climate Action
Script error: No such module "AfC submission catcheck". Girls for Climate Action is a grassroot feminist Non-Governmental organisation in Jinja City. The objective for this organisation is to champion initiatives on climate change mitigation and adaptation in Uganda.[1] The organization aims to train at least 1000 young people in climate action mitigation and adaptive approaches in the coming year.[2] Joanita Babirye, Co-founder Girls for Climate Action is actively engaging communities, learning institutions through trainings that empower the people to observe climate leadership, environmental rights and conserve the environment.[3]
Activities[edit]
Girls for Climate Action contributes to environmental advocacy through its programming in the areas of mentorships, Green Master Program, Climate fellowships and Community Climate Resilience Hub to reach out to communities, schools and partner organizations.[1]
