Biography[edit]

Gleb TkachenkoArtist name "Glebos" Born in 1987 in Penza, Russia, Glebos is a leading Russian artist of the generation that emerged in the wake of the collapse of the USSR. Glebos's mother Valentina Dusavitskaya and father Youriy Tkachenko are both sculptors and artists and their influence ensured his future. As a child, Glebos would always state clearly that he wanted to be an artist when he grew up while sat modeling figurines with plasticine. From only 6 years of age (1994), Glebos was already selling his artwork in a local galleries, and was attending Penza's Art school N1. In September 2004 Glebos went on to study architecture and interior design for 6 years in "Penza's State University of Architecture and Construction" [1] to refine his own visual and conceptual vocabulary and focus on the points of intersection between architecture, sculpture and spatial analysis. Since 2008 Glebos has attended over 60 international sculpture, art symposiums and competitions throughout the world.[2][3] Glebos works with a variety of materials, bronze, wood, stone, metal, ice, snow and sand.
