Global Atlanta
Global Atlanta is an Internet-based publication covering "locally international" news on global activities and a convener for Georgia's diplomatic community. In 1990, Georgia-based journalist Philip P. Bolton established Agio Press to produce a bi-monthly newsletter on international business in Atlanta. He saw globalization taking place in his own backyard even before the 1996 Olympics and 1996 Paralympics brought Atlanta to the world's attention.[1] This realization compelled Bolton to cover international business from a local perspective through GlobalFax News Service, which later evolved into Global Atlanta. Over the years, Global Atlanta became recognized as a multi-media source of news on Atlanta's rise as a center for international business, education, and culture.[2][3] In 2019, Bolton officially retired from Global Atlanta yet remains involved through international coverage and archiving projects. Trevor Williams, Global Atlanta's Managing Editor and author since 2007, leads the firm today.
