Talking about the film, Dharani says, "The lead character is an 80-year-old artiste—a legendary filmmaker, a writer and an artist—who wants to create a masterpiece. But can an artiste come up with a work that he is entirely satisfied with? Can someone continue to be an artiste once he is content/satisfied with his work? This is what is the theme of my film.” He adds, “But I have treated this in a commercially appealing way. It will not be slow-paced, like how arthouse films are thought to be.”

The film is scheduled to release in February 2020.
