God Complex The Audio Drama

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

God Complex is a Web fiction series written and illustrated by the artist circle Name Pending Creations. It follows the lives of several individuals from the viewpoint of a variety of gods from varying mythologies. The story begins fresh after a mix of Norse Mythology's Ragnarok and the Christian Apocalypse, and finds the many pantheons trying to recover after the loss of their families and the mortals that imbued them with their godlike power.

The novel is serialized online through Inkitt, Wattpad, and Royal Road. A fully dramatized audio drama is also available and currently covers the first chapter. It updates about once a month.

Plot[edit]

God Complex takes place in a fictional world where all mythological figures are real and has had varying impacts shaping humanity. The gods are all apart of a hierarchy based on their worshipers throughout history, with the Christian God at the top, serving as the King of Kings. When the biblical Apocalypse, Norse Ragnarok and other Armageddons begin happening throughout the nine realms, the King of King enters the fray in hopes of saving the universe from ending.

Following the disappearance of God and extinction of the mortals who deified gods in the first place, war breaks out between the pantheons. With no king and no prayer, violence and politics are all that's left to determine who will take the title "King of Kings".

The story revolves around Ana, a young godling who never knew what the world before Ragnarok. Her optimistic demeanor is constantly tested as she learns that there's no absolutes in her world and that not everyone can be happy.
