From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Gogo Abel Ujile also known as Gogo Ujile (born 9th November, 1977) is a Nigerian Environmentalist and Wildlife enthusiast. In 2010, he founded a community-based organization called Save Andoni Forest Elephant and Ecosystem Initiative to advocate for the conservation and preservation of a declining population of African forest elephant (Loxodonta cyclotis) and other wildlife species found on Andoni Island in the oil-rich Niger Delta. [1] [2]

He has released more than 200 Sea turtle caught by fishermen back to the Atlantic Ocean and trained some fishermen at Oyorokoto; one of the largest fishing settlement in West Africa coast, on how to identify endangered marine species in the area. [3] [4] It is believed that the Andoni Elephant are the only remaining elephant in the oil-rich Niger Delta due oil pollution and lack of environmental best practices in Nigeria. Crude oil pollution is a regular occurrence in the Niger Delta [5] [6]
