Going Back Giving Back
Script error: No such module "AfC submission catcheck".Going Back, Giving Back was a United Kingdom television show on the BBC. The documentary series was presented by Aled Jones and each episode reviewed an individual's biography for opportunities for generosity.[1] The first season screened on BBC One in 2016.[2]
Format[edit]
The episodes contrast someone's personal history with another person having similar experiences in the present day. Jack Seale reviewed this as being in the genre of 'nostalgia giving',[3] because the interviewee has opportunities to help others financially or reunite with people from their past to thank them or make a tribute.
Interviewees[edit]
- Pam Warren reflected on her experiences after surviving the Paddington Rail Crash.[4]
- Brothers Rob and Paul Forkan, who lost their parents in the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami, supported other people who also lost family to drownings.
