The Golaghat Gymkhana[1][2] (Assamese: গোলাঘাট জিমখানা) is a public/private members' club located on Station Road in the tea city of Golaghat.

History[edit]

The new Golaghat Gymkhana is a heritage bungalow that was built in 1910 and is a clubhouse which is over a 100 years old and had been renovated to convert into a modern clubhouse.[3][4]

Golaghat had its own Gymkhana Club much like Jorhat that was destroyed during the Quit India Movement.[5] It was then the centre of entertainment and merry-making for the Military personnel.
