Gold Coast Wake Park, also known as GC Wake Park, is a cable ski facility located in the Gold Coast's tourist hotspot, Oxenford, Queensland, Australia.[1] GC Wake Park is the brainchild of the 3-time World Champion Daniel Watkins[2], who is always passionate about wakeboarding. He had the vision to make Gold Coast a world-class wakeboarding attraction. GC Wake Park features a cable park, Pro Shop, Restaurant, a Fully Licensed Bar and an Aqua Park.[3]
Facilities and Amenities[edit]
Cable Park[edit]
GC Wake Park offers two cables with varying speeds. Cable 1 can take eight riders at any one time. It is faster than Cable 2, so new riders may fall off regularly. Advanced riders can try the eight obstacles at GC Wake Park. On the other hand, Cable 2 travels at a slower 25km/hr speed.[4]
Prowake Pro Shop[edit]
Right beside the cable park, there is a ProWake retail store. It's one of Australia's retail outlets stocking a comprehensive choice of wakeboards, waterskis, and all the equipment that go with these sports.[5]
Wakeview Cafe[edit]
Wakeview Café offers chef-prepared food, coffee, and a beer on tap. In addition, the viewing deck above the GC Wake Park has an overviewing look of the whole park. People usually stay there to either wait for their turn or chill with other wakeboarders.[6]
Aqua Park[edit]
The Aqua Park features inflatable slides, runways, jumping pillows, and swings.
