Gomerblog

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

GomerBlog is a satirical medical news website created in 2013 by two medical professionals looking for comic relief in a stressful occupation such as health care. The blog publishes satirical articles directed towards medical professionals. Inspired by several websites such as The Onion and The Duffel Blog, the blog sets out to poke fun at all medical specialties in addition to portraying difficult and challenging patients. The ridiculousness of some hospital policies and healthcare reform are common topics. All articles are completely 100% fake but tends to hit close to reality.

The site looks to build off of satirical articles similar to the site Q-Fever which ran from from 2000-2005.

In 2013, Medscape published an article naming Gomerblog one of the "Top 10 Coolest Sites for Doctors." [1]
