Information[edit]
Goodwill Educational Institutions[1][2] are a group of schools located in the Manamadurai[3] region of Sivaganga district in the state of Tamil Nadu.
This school was started by Dr. S Bhoominathan at a small shed in Keelapasalai village of Manamadurai[4] Taluk with just two teachers and ten students in year 2000. Now, it serves as the No.1 school in the Manamadurai Division and No.3 in Sivaganga District.
Infrastructures[edit]
The school has ten buses which serve the surrounding villages and towns. 95% of the school's students use school buses. Classrooms are well ventilated and have hygienic toilets and restrooms, with assigned sanitary cleaners. Well trained teachers are appointed to give a high level of education to students. Chemistry, physics, and biology labs, a library, and a PET equipment room are on site, with Physical Trainers. This school has a large playground and includes an Eco-Evergreen Surrounding to give a unique learning experience.
Extra-curricular activities such as Karate, Silambam, Drawing, and Spoken English are provided. Sports day and Annual Day are also run once a year. Educational tours and field trips are arranged for all students. Generators were installed to give an uninterrupted power supply. Many trees were planted on the site and gardeners were hired its maintenance.
Speciality[edit]
2016, Padma shri Dr. Vivek made a visit to the school as a Special Guest for an Annual Function and planted 50 saplings[5][6] as a part of the Kalam 10,000,000 Trees Plantation Programme. His plants are still alive on the campus.
