Gorgani is a dialect of the Tabarian (Mazandarani) language.[3]

Etymology

The dialect is named after the Gorgan historical district, derived from Old Persian Varkana (Greek Hyrkania).

Continuing use

Gorgani appears to be extinct.[1] It is documented back to the 14th and 15th centuries from writings of the Horufi movement.
