Gorilla Technolgy Group.[1] is a privately held Taiwanese multinational technology company headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, that designs, develops, and sells video intelligence and IoT technology, supporting a wide range of video-centric and content management applications for retail, enterprise and surveillance.

Overview[edit]

Gorilla was founded by Dr. Spincer Koh in 2000 with the initial goal of digitizing analog video. Within a few years, the company had hired a staff of computer programmers to redirect the company focus towards AI and analytics for video and surveillance applications. Over the next few years, Gorilla increased accuracy in real-time video facial and object recognition.

Gorilla Technology is committed to R&D as the foundation for creating value. Their machine learning and deep learning video analysis algorithms identify, analyze and extract information from digital content to drive their business intelligence solutions and automation. Gorilla Technology's video intelligence solutions make data embedded in video streams available for analysis. IoT devices augment this data provide a means to act on the results of data analysis in real-time.

As the market for AI, ML, and DL used in video has increased over the past few years[2], global interest in Gorilla's video analytic technology has increased.[3]
