Bright Goya professionally known as Goya Menor is a Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter.[1][2] He is popularly known for his hit single “Ameno Amapiano Remix”[3] It is recognized as one of the Detty December anthems.[4] which won Best Street-Hop Artist at The Headies 2022[5][6]
Early Life
He is a native of Edo State in Nigeria. He is a former student of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma Edo State.[7]
Career
Ameno Amapiano Remix was released on 16 June 2021 and gained recognition on TikTok in November.[8] It amassed 4.7m video creates, 9.5bn views on TikTok,[9] and is responsible for the internet slang, "You want to bambaa”.[10][11]
At late 2021, the phrase "Ameno Amapiano" became popular and was frequently used in nightclubs to signal when pricey cocktails were ordered.[12][13] and is responsible for the internet slang ‘You want to bamba’.[14]
It debuted at number one on the billboard music chart.[15][16]
At the Livespot X Festival, Tiwa Savage's Livespot, Menor sang his hit song Ameno.[17][18]
In 2022, he won Best Street-Hop Artist at The Headies 2022 and was also nominated for the category of Headies' Viewer's Choice[19][20]
