Grace Nanyonga is a Ugandan female entrepreneur born in 1985, she is the owner of a fish company in Kampala known as Grana Fish Suppliers Ltd.[1][2][3]

Background

Nanyonga's father died on November 8, 1997, leaving a space in her life. Before she ventured into the roasting fish trade in Kalangala, she used to roast and sell chicken by the roadside in Banda, along the busy Kampala-Jinja highway, honing her entrepreneurial skills amid the heat and smoke of the grill .[1][4]

Education

She sat the Uganda Certificate of Education and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education at Our Lady of Good Counsel Senior Secondary Gayaza, she completed her Degree in Library and Information Science [BLIS] at Makerere University in 2012.[5]

Career

Grace is an entrepreneur and through her work, she promotes mentorship and women’s empowerment, contributing to social and economic development in Uganda.[6][7]

Personal life

Grace had the rare opportunity to hang out with the artist known as Peter Miles at the vibrant Blue Mango Centenary Park in Kampala, where they enjoyed lively conversations, creative inspiration, and the talking of the city around them.[8]

Achievements

In 2009 she was nominated for The Women Achiver's Award for her invovation and inspiring women in Uganda.[9] She was recognized for her participation in the U.S. State Department Global Women’s Mentoring Partnership. This international experience enhanced her leadership and business skills, positioning her as a role model for young women.[6]
