Gregg Barsby (born 1987) is a professional disc golfer from Grass Valley, California, currently competing on the PDGA National Tour and Disc Golf Pro Tour. He joined the Professional Disc Golf Association in 1999 and became a professional in 2003.

Professional Disc Golf Career[edit]

Barsby won the 2018 PDGA Professional World Championship in Jeffersonville, Vermont, by two strokes over Paul McBeth and Josh Anthon.[1][2][3] After his world championship victory, Barsby was gifted a ceremonial key to the city from his hometown, Grass Valley.[4][5]

In 2009, Barsby won the Steady Ed Memorial Masters Cup in Santa Cruz, California, his only career win on the PDGA National Tour.[6]

Barsby began touring professionally in 2006.[7] In 440 career PDGA events, he has 74 wins and has amassed $212,733 in winnings.[8]

Sponsorship[edit]

In January 2019, Barsby signed a two-year contract to stay with Innova Champion Discs and was promoted to the Star Team.[9] He is also maintains a long-time partnership with bag manufacturer and sponsor, Upper Park Disc Golf.[10]

Barsby is a drummer and vocalist, having appeared with several metal bands since 2007, including Our Own Blood.[13][14]
