Gregoire Nitot (born – 27 August 1976 in Paris) – Polish businessman born and raised in France. He lived in Paris for 29 years of his life. At age of 29 he made the decision to start his own company in Poland. He is the founder, CEO, unique board member and owner of 30% of shares of Sii Poland.[1]
Life and career[edit]
First time he visited Warsaw – Poland was during his Erasmus Programme at the Warsaw School of Economics (Szkoła Główna Handlowa) in year 2000. Polish culture, people and finally Poland all in all, won his heart. He fall in love with the country and saw the future for himself in it. He wanted to reach the stars![2] Therefore after a couple of years of living in France, he came up with an idea of starting IT services company in Poland. With this idea in his mind and some savings in his pocket, in year 2005 he wrote a business plan. Determined to start off with his own business, Gregoire stared his search for the perfect business partner and investor. That is how he chose Sii France – a solid, trustworthy company.[3]
The adventure of his life started in January 2006 in a small 50 m2 flat in the city centre of the capital of Poland, Warsaw. The initial investment when it comes to the company was 100 K EURO of Nitot's own contribution and 200 K EURO loan from Sii France.[4]
For the past 10 years, Gregoire has been revolutionizing the structures and the processes within the company. The way he does it, is by taking up the given opportunities, making brave business steps, understanding both the clients' needs and needs of the business environment. Therefore each year he launches new investments, opens new practices and business unitsunits.[5] Thanks to the decisions made in the past, and the ones which are going to be made in the future, Sii Poland grew from a one-person start up, to a company hiring 2,500 experts and generating 380 M PLN (90 M EURO) revenue.[6]
It is important for Gregoire to work in the best possible atmosphere, full of people with great attitude, passionate about the given responsibilities in their job. Therefore the structure of the organization is decentralized, flat and focused on clients. Thanks to this fact, accountable managers have the power to make big decisions! Thereby the time is being saved, and the product can be delivered fast to the market, with the guarantee of the lowest possible bureaucracy. By making the decisions managers are conscious of the responsibilities they have when it comes to the area of P&L.
Gregoire by implementation of needed processes ensures constant growth of the company, therefore his work evolves each year! Primarily he is responsible for the overall strategy of the company such as: setting the objectives, determining development directions, performance monitoring, supervision of company`s KPI's, key decisions making. He is the person particularly responsible for the major changes and investments within the company.[7]
Nitot spends one third of his time on HR activities.[8]
Culture within the organization is very strong and based on the mission "Power People – Identify & Promote our best employees", five strategic objectives and 15 key values. All of the cultural aspects were implemented by Gregoire and he pays special attention to their realization – he controls that each manager understands and executes them.[9]
Gregoire obtained polish citizenship in year 2016.[10]
He is a family person, that is why he spends every single second of his free time with his polish wife and three children. Nitot loves people, business and sports – especially: sailing, windsurfing, tennis, football, cycling and backpacking trips. When tired with the big city lights, and the constant, crazy pace of Warsaw, he escapes to his house in the Kaszuby region. He loves adrenaline, and is always eager to surpass limits and discover the undiscovered.
