Gunnar Rugstad

Script error: No such module "AfC submission catcheck". Gunnar Rugstad (5 January 1921 − 14 June 2000) was a Norwegian musicologist.

He was born in Gjerpen, and his main instrument was the trombone. Rugstad studied music at the Oslo Conservatory of Music and musicology at the University of Oslo, graduating with a magistratus degree in 1953. In 1977 he took the dr.philos. degree with a thesis about Christian Sinding. From 1974 to 1988 he headed the music department of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation.[1]
