HABITAS is a global hospitality company and membership community founded in 2014.[1][2] The company's mission statement is "to impact people's lives by creating deeper human connections." [3][4]
History
Habitas was founded by Oliver Ripley, Kfir Levy, and Eduardo Castillo.[5] It began as an events company to bring people together around shared interests, such as music and food.[6] In 2016, Habitas launched a pop-up hotel in Tulum, which was later relocated and established as a permanent location in 2017.[7][8] Additional locations include New York City and Los Angeles[9] with properties under construction in Malibu, The Bahamas, Bali and Namibia. [10]
Hotels (Public)
The hotel in Tulum, Mexico, is a 35-room, beachfront property.[11][12]
Clubs (Private)
The New York City clubhouse occupies a historic, six-story firehouse built in 1895.[13]
The Los Angeles clubhouse is a refurbished 1940s beach house on Abbot Kinney Boulevard.[14]
Services
The clubhouses provide social spaces and wellness facilities, offering family-style dinners, live music, and cultural programming to members.[15]
Members and visitors interact within a diverse range of like-minded individuals from various industries.[16]
