HD 2 is a solitary star in the constellation Cassiopeia. With an apparent magnitude of 8.21, it requires an amateur telescope to be seen, and is located 351 light-years (108 pc) based on parallax.
Properties[edit]
HD 2 is a G-type star with 26% more mass than the Sun, and has double the latter’s radius. It radiates at 5 solar luminosities from its photosphere at an effective temperature of 6,050 K. HD 2 metal abundance is at solar metallicity, with 97% the abundance of heavy metals compared to the Sun.
