HD 49306 has a classification of "B9.5/A0V", which states that the star has the characteristics of a B9.5 and A0 main sequence star. It has 2.8 times the Sun's mass, and double the Sun's radius. HD 49306 radiates at 48.8 times the Sun's luminosity off its photosphere at an effective temperature of 10,974 K. HD 49306 is young, with an estimated age of 316 million years.
