Sam Sowah known by his stage name HK is a Ghanaian Afro R&B/Pop artiste from Accra. The name Sensei which translate as Master is his case is an abbreviation of the word Sensational, a piece that later became a part of his name.[1]

Early life and education[edit]

HK was born and raised in the Greater Accra of Ghana. He currently is a student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, where he began to show love and interest in music.

Music career[edit]

His musical influence started from listening to artists such as Mali Music, Jonathan McReynolds, Usher and others.

In 2017, HK featured on the Acoustic Night Show on Live 91.9fm with Berla Mundi[2]. Since then, HK has made impact with his exclusively produced record Somebody[3]. From there, HK has worked with prominents acts in the Ghanaian industry including producer and singer Kuvie, eminently on the creation of Before I Say Yes by The Mimi Elsa. A record that later became the theme song for the first ever Single Sisters' Summit held in Ghana in 2017.[4]
