Habib al Omr is a 1947 Egyptian musical film directed by Henry Barakat. The film stars Farid El-Atrash, Samia Gamal, and Ismail Yassin.
Plot
The film revolves around a group of artists who travel to Cairo to find suitable opportunities to fulfill their dreams, including the singer Mamdouh, who seeks the help of his father's friend to perform with his band. At the same time, he falls in love with the dancer Toutah. However, after a short period, Toutah leaves him to search for a better future, and Mamdouh fails to connect with the audience in his first performance. He becomes depressed and feels betrayed by Toutah, but he continues to work with the encouragement of his band and his father's friend. After several emotional turns between him and Toutah, he decides to continue with his art and is surprised when Toutah joins him in their artistic work, leading them to achieve the success they had hoped for in Cairo. The film ends with a huge musical operetta in which the band and the lovers achieve their artistic success.
