Hadia Hashmi (ہادیہ ہاشمی; born July 30, 2012) is a Pakistani child singer who gained prominence with her performance in the song "Bol Hu" on Nescafé Basement Season 5 in 2019.[1][2][3]

Early life

Hadia was born in Lahore, Pakistan. Despite no familial background in music, she developed an early interest in singing, inspired by Pakistani singer Noor Jehan.[4] She enrolled in a singing academy.[5]

Career

Hadia's breakthrough came with her rendition of "Bol Hu" alongside Soch the Band on Nescafé Basement. The performance showcased her vocal prowess and emotional depth, leading to widespread acclaim.[6]

Following her debut, Hadia performed at various events and shows, including a notable performance at the Fashion Pakistan Week Fall/Winter 2019, where she sang "Allah Hu" and walked the ramp for Alkaram Studio.[7]

She performed along Atif Aslam at Coke Fest in 2019.[8]

Personal life

Despite her early success in music, Hadia has expressed a desire to pursue a career in medicine alongside her musical endeavors. She aspires to become a doctor while continuing her passion for singing.[5]
