Hailey's On It! is an upcoming American animated comedy-adventure television series by Devin Bunje and Nick Stanton, long-time writers and producers.[1] It is scheduled to premiere on Disney Channel in 2023.[2][3]

Plot

The story follows Hailey Banks, a resourceful teen who likes taking risks, with a mission to complete items on a list of challenging tasks so she can save the world.[4][3]

Characters

  • Hailey Banks (voiced by Auli’i Cravalho[2]) - The teenage protagonist who likes taking risks. She has complicated feelings toward her friend, Scott.
  • Scott (voiced by Manny Jacinto[2]) - Best friend of Hailey.
  • Beta (voiced by Gary Anthony Williams[2]) - An A.I. system from the future who helps Hailey.

Production

In November 2021, the series was announced.[2] Meredith Roberts, a Disney Television Animation executive, described the series as the first animated series of Devin Bunje and Nick Stanton, and called it a "fast-paced comedy" with "grounded stories" and "heart" which made it a "perfect fit" for Disney.[3] Disney Television Animation is producing the series.[6][7] The series was described as aimed at kids aged 6-14 and their families.[8]

It was also announced that Howy Parkins will be a co-executive producer, alongside Bunje and Stanton, and supervising director. Reporting also confirmed Wade Wisinski as the show's producer, Karen Graci as the show's story editor, and Lee Ann Dufour as the series art director.[2][9] In December 2022, it was reported that artist Jaison Wilson, who has worked on The Princess and the Frog, Milo Murphy's Law, Candace Against the Universe, and Amphibia, would be working on the series.[10] It was reported in March 2022 that Mary Gulino would be a series writer.[11] In April 2023, it was reported that Karen Graci was a story editor for the series.[12]

The series will premiere in 2023 on the Disney Channel with a 30-episode order for the show's first season.[13][14]
