Hallan (band)
Hallan are a Portsmouth based post-punk band.[1][2] They are signed to Nice Swan Records[3] and have released three singles, Modern England, Yesterday (With Him) and Habit.[4][5]
History
The band was formed from the solo project of frontman Conor Clements in February 2018. The band have toured the local circuit and have played gigs in Portsmouth[6], Southampton (including sessions for BBC Radio Solent[7]), Brighton, Tunbridge Wells and London.[8] In August 2020 Hallan received national radio airplay for their song Modern England by Jack Saunders on BBC Radio 1's Indie Show and the track is currently in rotation on BBC Radio 6 Music.[9]

Hallan have cited influences such as The Fall, The Clash, Fontaines D.C., Bob Dylan, The Smiths, Shame and George Harrison.[10][8]
