Halodi Robotics is a Norwegian robotics company that specializes in the development and manufacturing of humanoid robots, currently being used in security guarding, retail, logistics and healthcare.
History
Halodi Robotics was founded in 2014 by businessman/investor Pål Løken, CEO Bernt Øivind Børnich, and Chief Science Officer Phuong Nguyen.[1] The company is headquartered in Moss, Norway, but operates offices in Oslo, Dallas, Oakland, Montreal and Bologna. The company has developed a 182cm/6ft tall, 86kg/189lbs robot called EVE. The robot has a payload of 8kg/17.6lbs per arm, can autonomously navigate, open doors, and call and travel on elevators. EVE can also be remotely operated in telepresence, using a VR headset and controllers.
In March 2022 the company signed an agreement with ADT Commercial to provide 140 EVE robots for use in security guarding at commercial installations.
The EVE robots have also been deployed at hospitals, grocery stores and packaging/logistics facilities.
