Hamidreza Gangozehi (Persian: حمیدرضا گنگوزهی)(1908– April 2016) was an Iranian teacher who was trapped under the rubble and lost his life while trying to save the lives of the students.[2]
Description of the accident[edit]
Hamidreza Gangozahi was a primary school teacher in Balochistan near the Pakistan border. While breathing, he and one of his colleagues noticed the collapse of the wall of the dilapidated neighboring building, which was a children's playground. He and his colleague quickly took action to save the lives of the students, but the storm did not give them time and Hamidreza himself was killed by the debris falling on his head. After the incident, it was said that the cause of the collapse of the building was moisture caused by rain, in addition to the storm.[3]
