Hamza Amin

Hamza Amin (born 15.10.1987 in Innsbruck) is a professional golfer from Pakistan and Austria. Growing up in Islamabad he started his golf under the guidance of his father, Asian golfing legend and current chairman of the Asia Pacific Golf Confederation, Taimur Hassan Amin. He took to the game at the age of 10 and after a noteworthy amateur career in which he represented Pakistan at the Eisenhower Trophy in 2008, 2010 and represented Austria at the European Team Championships in 2011, Hamza turned professional on 1.1.2012. His first success in the professional arena came at the 2014 Asian Tour qualifying school final stage in Thailand where he finished 7th with rounds of 69 71 71 67 (-7). His season was marred with a back injury and he has been on and off the tour the last few years. He has 5 professional wins with the 2018 Austrian National Open being the most notable, finishing four days with a score total of -15 in Seltenheim, Austria. As a member of the Austrian PGA, in 2019 Hamza added professional instruction to his field of expertise and is currently attached to GC Schönborn in Vienna.
