Hanna Mishchenko (Ukrainian: Анна Олегівна Міщенко; born 13 September 1989, Kyiv) is a Ukrainian social activist, director of the Kyiv School of Public Administration named after Serhiy Nyzhnyi, founder of the Safe Sky Charitable Foundation, author of the Social Dialogue initiative, and an expert at the Ukrainian Institute for the Future.[1]
Career[edit]
In 2020, she became a member of the Ukrainian delegation of lobbyists and politicians in Washington, D.C., at the "Dialogue on the Future: Ukraine-USA".[2] Also in 2020, she became a lecturer in dual education in special subjects at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts and the Kyiv University of Culture.
Since 2021, she has been an expert at the Ukrainian Institute for the Future.[1]
Since 2022, she has been the director of the Kyiv School of Public Administration named after Serhiy Nyzhnyi.[3]
In 2023, Mishchenko became a speaker at a World Economic Forum panel discussion in Davos.[4]
Social activities[edit]
Hanna Mishchenko is the organiser of a delegation to Recep Tayyip Erdogan from the NGO Women of steel (2022).[5] She is the organiser and manager of the Ukrainian shelter in Istanbul "Pullman Stars", which has hosted more than 500 people in 5 months of its existence.
She is the founder of the Safe Skies Charity Foundation (February 2020). She is the author of the initiative and NGO "Social Dialogue", which studies the problem of drug and alcohol addiction in Ukraine.[6]
She is an author of the films Addiction. Rehabilitation in Kosachovka[7] (2020) and (Un)childhood weaknesses[8][9] (2021) as part of the Social Dialogue project U_Mishchenko. In the second documentary, Hanna Mishchenko addresses the topic of childhood addiction and childish weaknesses.[10] Together with a social activist, a psychiatrist, a mother of a drug addict, popular artists and ordinary teenagers, they search for answers, share their own experiences, and tell difficult stories with very different endings. This film features dozens of characters, weeks of filming, a couple of cities, terabytes of memory and many interviews with adults and children who can change someone's life. The film's protagonists are FACE, Oleh Sobchuk, Oleh Psiuk, Kolia Sierha, Sasha Tab, Oleksandr Pereverziev, Emilia Mikhailova and others.
