Hannah Bayman is a BBC News journalist and former weather presenter for Look North.
Early life[edit]
Bayman has a degree in Journalism from City University in London and undergraduate qualifications in meteorology, planetary science and astronomy.
Broadcasting[edit]
Bayman has worked all over the United Kingdom for BBC News, before shortly moving back home to the North East to present the weather, produce and edit reports for BBC Look North, North East and Cumbria.[1]
In 2007, Bayman was part of the BBC South team, later working in Guernsey in the Channel Islands for BBC Spotlight.[2]
In 2009, Bayman was part of a project for BBC Children In Need alongside Teeside University for BBC Look North.[3]
In 2012, Bayman was nominated for 'Presenter Of The Year' at the Royal Television Society Awards.[4]
In 2014, Bayman discussed her own wedding plans as part of The North East Wedding Show at Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle Upon Tyne.[5]
Bayman currently works for BBC News, as part of the news-gathering team for the main news bulletins.[6]
Personal life[edit]
Bayman married Charlie Laurel, a molecular biologist, in 2014, and they have one child together.[7]
Charity[edit]
Bayman regularly helped to raise money for BBC Children In Need by promoting the BBC Look North weather calendar.[8]
In 2010, Bayman was a runner for the Great North Run.[9]
