Hannah Thomas-Garner (born October 29, 1997) is an American teen who reportedly ran away on November 30, 2014, from her home in Ashland, Oregon, U.S. [1] Garner was considered a missing endangered person, but Ashland Police Department officially classified her as a runaway.[2] Her family claims she is not a runaway and is not responsible for her own disappearance. However, on December 1, 2014, a man contacted authorities after seeing a news report about Thomas-Garner's disappearance. He reportedly said he gave a ride to a hitchhiker who matched Thomas-Garner's description. According to the man, he dropped Hannah off in Dunsmuir, California.[3] Hannah Thomas-Garner's 2012 Ford Focus had been found wrecked and abandoned near the city of Mt. Shasta, California.[4] She and a 15-year-old friend who also went missing at the same time were initially reported to have been given a ride by two men. The 15-year-old and the two men were found on December 6.[5] Police later said they believe Hannah was not in the car with the others.[6]
