Hans Joachim Palm
Hans Joachim Palm (born 1946 near Düsseldorf) is an American crime writer.
Life[edit]
Hans Joachim Palm was born near Düsseldorf in 1946 as the son of a textile manufacturer. He attended the municipal elementary school and then completed his high school diploma. He then studied at the University of Cologne in the fields of auditing, business taxation and tax law, where he obtained his diploma in business administration.[1] After graduating, he found his first job at a Munich auditing company. He later founded his own company in Munich and was appointed to the Economic Advisory Council of the Union (CSU Party Germany) as an impartial entrepreneur.
During his time in Spain he set up a consulting company. Through his international consulting activities, he occasionally came into contact with members of the Mafia. He later worked with the CIA.[2] He reports on these experiences and impressions in a crime series. This currently comprises eighth volumes,[3] which he published in both German and English.
Private[edit]
Palm is a widower and has no children. Since 2008 he has been in a relationship with the American Sharon Kay Delisio, whom he met in Las Vegas. Today they live together in Florida. For a few years he has only had US citizenship.
