Happy Hours Entertainments is an Indian film production company based in the Malayalam film industry established by acclaimed cinematographers Sameer Thahir and Shyju Khalid in 2013.[1] The company's first production was Sameer Thahir's Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi (2013) starring Dulquer Salmaan and Sunny Wayne. This film was released all over Kerala on 9 August 2013 and got largely positive reviews from the viewers.[2]
History
After the success of Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi, Sameer Thahir went on working as a Cinematographer for Anjali Menon's Bangalore Days. Later he directed Dulquer Salmaan and Sai Pallavi for Kali (2016 film) under the banner Handmade Films. Handmade Films was a joint venture of Sameer Thahir, Shyju Khalid, and Ashiq Usman. Sameer Thahir then cranked the camera for two Tamil films, Priyadarshan's Sometimes and Soundarya Rajnikanth's Velaiilla Pattadhari 2. Meanwhile, after the much-appreciated works including Idukki Gold (film) and Maheshinte Prathikaaram, Shyju Khalid joined hands with Sameer Thahir for Happy Hours Entertainments again for the upcoming title Sudani From Nigeria which is set to be released in March 2018.
