The Haramad Special Police Force (HSPF; Somali: Ciidanka Booliska Gaarka ah ee Haramcad (Ciidanka Haramcad); Arabic: قوة شرطة الهرمد الخاصة) a part of the Somali Police Force, is a force specially trained to prevent violence and fighting in cities and was established in 2019. They carried out dozens of operations against Al-Shabaab inside the country.[1][2][3]

This force, which is estimated to be a thousand soldiers, was trained by the Turkish government and taken to its country, while some are trained at the TurkiSom camp in Mogadishu.[4][5][6]
This division has several responsibilities, including helping the Somali National Army in operations against insurgent groups in Somali cities, as a mobile reserve forc and keeping, peacekeeping & police areas under their control.[7][8][9]
The Somali National Army allows them to carry out their primary duty for a short period of time, which is to destroy Al-Shabaab, which is a fighting force in Somalia.[10][11][12]
As well as securing the security of important facilities & economic infrastructure such as Aden Adde Airport in Mogadishu, and the green area, as well as ensuring the security of public gathering places such as football fans during the Somali games and many others.[13][14][15]
The first commander of the Haramad Special Police Force was Brigadier General Fahan Mohamud Adan (Qaroole).
