Hardwood is a browser-based massively multiplayer online college basketball simulation video game developed in the United States and launched on 04 July 2018. The game allows participants to recruit players, watch them grow and improve and then control their game time decisions. Each college basketball program competes against other programs at their level with the winners promoting up a pyramid of conferences and the losers dropping down. Additionally, there are conference and national title tournaments at the end of each season to cap off your season of success. Hardwood online college basketball is one of the top online sport manager games and was named Basketball Game of the Year 2019.[1]
Gameplay[edit]
Gameplay revolves around guiding a college basketball program through recruiting players, developing them, and competing against other college basketball programs. Eventually, players graduate and new players are recruited to replace them. The ultimate goal is to win your conference and promote to a higher conference and there is also an end of the season tournament akin to March Madness[March Madness] in real college basketball.

Hardwood was launched on 04 July 2018. From the start, Hardwood has been entirely free. As of 2021, the game had over 700 active participants.
Podcast[edit]
Two participants in the game created a podcast to discuss and support the game. The Total Podcast Idiots podcast has over 30 episodes and includes a number of guests.[2]
