Harith Noah (born 29 January, 1993 in Germany[1]) is an Indian motorcycle rider. His parents are Mohammed Rafi KV, a businessman, and Susanne, an artiste in Karnatic music[2] and a farmer.[3] He hails from Shoranur in Kerala, India.[4] He is a motocross and supercross rider who switched to endurance cross country rallies . He was the 2017 Indian National Supercross champion.[5] From 2018, he is taking part in cross-country rallies and made his debut at Dakar in 2020. He is the third Indian to take part in Dakar Rally after CS Santosh[6] and KP Aravind. In 2021, he completed the Dakar Rally and became the first Indian to finish in the top-20.

Early career

Harith Noah studied in a boarding school in Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu and after he came back home to Kerala in 2009, he began with dirt track events at the age of 16 before taking up competitive riding.[7] Going home from his hostel in Kodaikanal for holidays, Noah found out that there was a race and took part with his road bike. Later, in 2011 he got into serious motocross and the next year in 2012,he joined SOBMX Motocross Centre in the United States and did a 3-month training course[8]. He also joined a Sports Science course and completed his graduation[9].

Motorsport career

Harith Noah won the National Supercross title in 2011 as a privateer. That helped him get a call from the TVS in 2012[10]. He then went on to win seven National Supercross titles[11]. In 2018, he took part in the Morocco Rally. In 2019, he participated in Baja Aragon and finished overall 7th. In 2020, he finished Dakar Rally in the `Dakar Experience' Category[12]. In 2021, Harith Noah completed the Dakar Rally, the mother of all rallies and the toughest cross-country rally and became the first Indian to finish in the top-20 in the Moto Class.[13] Harith Noah, the TVS Racing product, entered the Dakar 2021 as a privateer, with TVS not entering an official team but only supporting him along with Sherco Rally Factory Team, which provided the service. He bettered the mark of CS Santosh who is the first Indian to finish Dakar in 36th place[14].
