Harmon Cooper is an American author of fantasy, and science fiction novels within the LitRPG genre.
Career
Originally from Austin, Texas, Harmon has travelled the world, spending five years in Asia studying languages and honing his writing skills. He now lives in America with his wife, where he is an independent author of science fiction and fantasy books with over twenty books under his belt.
Harmon published his first novel, Life is a Beautiful Thing, in 2015 and has written several more novels and series, including The Feedback Loop, a fantasy LitRPG series. All of Harmon's series are connected in some way, through characters, or through a shared world and an online world known as the Proxima Galaxy.
The Proxima Galaxy
The Proxima Galaxy is an online collection of worlds similar to a MMORPG that allows users to connect via next-generation Virtual reality headsets and haptic technology to escape the reality of real life. Harmon uses these connected worlds to tell a variety of stories in different genres, that are interlinked. Essentially, the Proxima Galaxy is full of endless possibilities, as new game worlds can be created or destroyed, providing a new experience with each series that Harmon releases.
Due to the connected nature of each of the series, they can be read based on the years in which they take place or chronologically as they were released without the possibility of spoilers. With this in mind, there will be Easter Eggs and recurring characters that appear in some of the series that are set later in the timeline.
