The Harmony Celebration Chorus

The Harmony Celebration Chorus is a Sweet Adelines Barbershop chorus based in Ridgewood, New Jersey. The chorus, which is a rebirth of the Ramapo Valley Show Chorus, is directed by Scott Brannon, Associate Director of the Big Apple Chorus.

The chorus held their first show "Celebrate A Cappella", December 1, 2007 at Felician College. Chapter quartets Vanity Fair, Fanfare, and (featured Region 16 Medalists) Just 4 all performed along with guest quartets Our Town and Vocal Spectrum. This was an important event as it was the first official public performance of the chorus under its new name and leadership.

On April 5, 2008, the chorus took the Region 15 stage in Philadelphia for the first time taking second place a mid-sized chorus and third in over-all competition. Two of the chorus’s quartets also medaled that weekend; Just 4 taking 4th place, and Fanfare! Taking 5th.

Since then the chorus has gone on annual shows each May and to compete at the regional and international levels.

  • 2008: Philadelphia—3rd Place Over-all, 2nd Place Mid-size
  • 2009: Philadelphia—1st Place Over-all, 1st Place Mid-size
