His Conglomerate started in 2003 as a trading enterprise in Kampala, importing ladies bags from China. Haruna could import mostly ladies’ garments form Malaysia Thailand and china and wholesale them in Uganda and neighboring countries through Haruna Garments.[3]

Haruna has established a variety of organized large markets that are used as central wholesale reference centers for Agro-produce and Spare Parts in Kampala; occupying large acres of land.[5]
