Hayden Adams is the founder and CEO of Uniswap Labs, the company behind the Uniswap Protocol, a major decentralized exchange (DEX) on the Ethereum blockchain.[1] He launched Uniswap in November 2018 after working as a mechanical engineer and being inspired by a blog post from Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum.[2] His aim was to develop a decentralized platform for trading tokens without needing centralized exchanges.
Without prior experience in blockchain technology or software development, Adams taught himself using online resources. His work on Uniswap significantly contributed to the growth of decentralized finance (DeFi) by introducing the Automated Market Maker (AMM) model. This model allows users to trade cryptocurrencies directly from their wallets.
