It provides a secure medical record exchange and messaging service between patients and providers. Healthjump also offers a provider to provider messaging service through web and mobile applications. The Personal Health Record in Healthjump constitutes a medical record for patients, and can be analyzed in aggregate using Healthjump or third party tools with access controls as required by HIPAA.[1][2][3]
Healthjump provides data and functions through secure APIs. Developers can request a license to write interfaces through the Healthjump API to help connect disparate systems to enable the flow of data to achieve medical record interoperability. Healthjump was founded in 2013 by Martin Aboitiz, Clifford Cavanaugh, Jim Rowland, Shanti Aboitiz and Mark Ribeiro de Sa, after Martin Aboitiz and Shanti Aboitiz met Clifford Cavanaugh at a HIMSS 2013 conference workshop.
In November 2015 Healthjump announced the acquisition of DataTrade Solutions, a Health IT service company.[5]
