Heath Miller (concert producer)

Heath Miller, is a concert producer best known for booking and producing the concerts at Webster Hall,[1][2] and founder of Excess dB Entertainment, a concert production/promotion company, as well as (formerly) an artist management company.

Biography[edit]

Heath Miller majored in electrical engineering at Rutgers University before transferring to Ramapo College with a major in communications and a concentration in music management. While attending college, he was managing the band Senses Fail as well as producing concerts in the New Jersey and New York area for Excess dB Entertainment which he founded during high school.[3][4]

In 2007 Heath briefly worked at Metropolitan Talent, working under John Scher. In late 2008, he then returned to Excess dB Entertainment[5] and began producing concerts in the Studio at Webster Hall. In May 2011, Heath became the in-house concert talent buyer at Webster Hall for the Studio and Marlin Room. In 2014, Bowery Presents' contract with Webster Hall expired,[6] and Heath was promoted to Vice President along with becoming the concert talent buyer for all 3 venues within Webster Hall - The Grand Ballroom, Marlin Room and Studio.[7]

As an artist manager, Heath has managed Random Task, Senses Fail, Boys Night Out[8] and Halifax.[3][9]

In addition to his responsibilities at Webster Hall, Heath Miller also serves on the Leaders on the Horizon[10] at Safe Horizon and the Young Professionals Committee at the James Beard Foundation.[11]
