Heather Ann Ragsdale (born July 30, 1981 in Arlington, Texas)[1] is a retired U.S. soccer player. Ragsdale currently resides in Laredo, Texas.
Youth[edit]
Ragsdale grew up in the American soccer hotbed of North Texas. She began playing soccer at the age of five on the Jammers team in Arlington, Texas. Ragsdale lettered three years at the annual powerhouse Martin High School. In 1998, she was a member of the Martin soccer team that won the state title. An all-around athlete, Ragsdale participated in basketball, cross country, and track.
College[edit]
Heavily recruited out of high school, Ragsdale chose to attend Texas A&M University.[2] She played all four years for the Aggies. As a sophomore she was named to the NSCAA first-team All Central Region. Heading into her junior year, she was the sixth all-time points leader. Ragsdale developed plantar fasciitis her junior year and, as a consequence, scored only one goal for the Aggies that year. Although plagued by a hamstring injury her senior year, she would returned to form scoring 13 goals, one shy of her career high 14 goals set as a sophomore.
In 2003 Ragsdale graduate from Texas A & M with a Political Science degree.
WUSA[edit]
After graduating college, Ragsdale set out to play professional soccer. In 2003 she joined the Carolina Courage of the newly formed WUSA. However, the WUSA fell into financial ruin and collapsed later the same year, cutting short a promising young career. Ragsdale played briefly in China before returning home and retiring from professional soccer.

Post Soccer Life[edit]
After returning from soccer, Heather decided that law school would be the best career path for her. So she decided to attend law school at Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas. After graduating she began working as a lawyer in Dallas. In June 2012, Heather, also known as "Ojos de Lobo" moved down to Laredo where she began her job as an Assistant District Attorney in the 49th Judicial District of Texas. She now is a prosecutor in County Court at Law #1 in Alvino "Ben" Morales's court. She enjoys her life in Laredo and feels that working for District Attorney Isidro R. Alaniz really has improved her talents as a lawyer. Her coworkers in Club Crib really appreciate Ojos de Lobo not eating them alive with her witty retorts.
