Heather Schmid is an American musical artist and composer based in Boston, Massachusetts.[1][2] She is well-known for singing the unity song Pehle Hum Pakistani Hain.[3][4] She was named Miss Millennium in 2002.[5][6]

Career

Heather was classically trained at The Hartt School, Connecticut.[7] Later, she graduated from Boston University with a degree in Music. She began her musical career as an opera soprano soloist. In 2005, she performed at the Rafi Peer Theatre in Lahore, which was broadcast by PTV. In 2006, she released her first album, which was produced by Rich Balmer. Heather's latest TV show The Ambassador on CCTV News, which has accumulated millions of viewers.[8] She has been working within the field of cultural diplomacy, speaking and performing for the institute of cultural diplomacy at the United Nations.[1][9]

Notably, in 2013, she performed the Unity Song, Pehlay Hum Pakistani Hain along with her daughter Syra Mehdi, which was well-received by Pakistani nationals.[10][11] [12]
