Heather Spearman (born 1984) is a Canadian politician in the city of Airdrie, Alberta.
Born in Lethbridge, Spearman first entered politics in 2021 with a successful run in the 2021 Alberta municipal elections to Airdrie city council, finishing fourth with 4,937 votes. [1][2]
In 2022, Spearman, along with other members of the Calgary Metropolitan Region Board made an urgent call in response Alberta Health Services' temporary closure of urgent care at the Airdrie Community Health Centre. [3] Spearman was recognized in 2023 as an Amazing Advocate in the city of Airdrie, by airdrielife magazine. [4]
On September 2, 2025, Spearman announced her bid to succeed Peter Brown as Airdrie's 30th mayor.[5][6]
Personal life
Spearman moved to Airdrie in 2007, is married and mother of three[7]. She is the daughter of former Lethbridge mayor Chris Spearman.
