Heldeep Records is a record label founded in mid-2015 by Dutch electronic music DJ and producer Oliver Heldens.[1][2] It is one of the 40 sub-labels of Spinnin' Records.[3] They have released music by notable underground electronic artists that include Tommie Sunshine, Mr. Belt & Wezol, Vato Gonzalez, MOTi, Bart B More, Throttle, Jonas Aden and Chocolate Puma.[4]
History
Oliver Heldens decided to create his own label in 2015, which he considers "a real accomplishment".[5] The term is inspired by the name of his own radio show,[6] Heldeep Radio, broadcast mainly podcast on various networks. Besides his accomplishments, Oliver Heldens would also promote on this label young talents of his musical domain,[7] "my label aims to be a platform for them, although I will continue to put out my own tracks".[5]
A first title of HI-LO, "Crank it Up", then a second, "Renegade Mastah", were released on this label.[7] Until then, the young Dutch producer and DJ had not yet revealed that he was hiding under this pseudonym, which he did soon after.[5][7][8]
On his label, Oliver Heldens decided to promote new talents by releasing Heldeep Talent EPs.
