Hello, World! is an extended play by South Korean rock band Xdinary Heroes. It was released by JYP Entertainment on July 20, 2022. The extended play features five original tracks and an instrumental track of the lead single.[1] The physical album comes in two versions: Tutorial Session and Practice Session.[2]
All of the six members of the band participated in writing and composing the EP's tracks.[3]
Background
In Late April 2022, Xdinary Heroes hinted at their first-ever comeback by uploading a teaser titled "Xdinary Heroes Awakening".[4] In late June 2022, they released a new video entitled "How to enjoy ♭form with Xdinary Heroes". The next day, Xdinary Heroes announced their first-ever comeback with 'Hello, World!' an extended play to be released in July 20.[5] Pre orders became available on June 29.
Promotion
An instrumental sampler and highlight film was released on June 30 and July 14, respectively.[6] In the next days, two music video teasers were unveiled revealing the storyline of the music video set to be released in the 20th. The music video for the lead single "Test Me" was released on July 20, the same day as the album. [7] On the same day, the band also held a comeback showcase for the new album. In the said event, all songs in the album including their single "Happy Death Day" were performed. [1] Moreover, the band also appeared in several music shows such as SBS' Inkigayo, MBC's Show! Music Core, and KBS' Music Bank. Furthermore, live clips of the band performing the songs from the album were also released.[8] On August 9, the band released a music video for the b-side "Strawberry Cake." [9]
