Helmet Integrated Systems is a British company that makes military helmets, namely fighter pilot helmets for the Royal Air Force.

History[edit]

Historically it comes from Hertfordshire, being formed in 1924. It claims to be the world's leading manufacturer of flight helmets.[1]

Structure[edit]

Its administrative centre is now in Stranraer. Its main administrative centre was in Hertfordshire. It is now owned by Gentex of the USA, being bought in July 2014. It has a factory site in Letchworth.
